My Personal Athens Tips

01

Stay somewhere with Acropolis views

One of the best things about Athens is seeing the Acropolis from your hotel! I’ve recommended several hotels with beautiful views above, so you can choose one that fits your budget.

02

Try traditional Greek food

Don’t leave Athens without trying souvlaki, dolmades, tzatziki, and other delicious Greek specialties. The city has so many great places to eat!

03

Avoid visiting in summer

Athens can get extremely hot in summer, making sightseeing exhausting. If your travel dates are flexible, I recommend visiting in spring or autumn instead.

04

Avoid driving in Athens

One of my biggest regrets was exploring Athens by car! Finding parking was incredibly frustrating, so I recommend using public transport or walking whenever possible.
