United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is an island country in western Europe, which includes the island of Great Britain, the north-eastern part of the island of Ireland, and many smaller islands within the British Isles.

The UK was a member of the European Union until 2020. Since then, travellers from EU member states need passport to enter, which is something to remember. From 2023, a visa or permit (ETA) will be required for entry, which will unfortunately further complicate the situation for travellers.

The infrastructure in Britain is pretty good. There are many shops and restaurants that meet all needs. Public transport is well organised and it is popular for a good reason.
