Hi!

About Me...

I’m Adri, the creator and author of this blog. I’ve been a passionate traveler for more than 10 years and have visited over 30 countries.

Travel became a defining part of my life in the second half of my 20s, and it eventually inspired me to build a place where I could share clear, useful, and honest information from real experience.

The idea of TravelTipZone was born in 2022, and the blog officially launched in early 2023.

What you will find here

TravelTipZone is a general travel blog based entirely on my own experiences.

I write about many destinations, mostly in Europe, but also in the Middle East and the United States.

Here you’ll find:

  • destination guides with practical travel tips
  • itineraries
  • personal recommendations

My goal is to help readers plan their trips with confidence and clarity.

My story and personal background

I graduated as an economist but didn’t stay in that field for long. Over the years, while moving from place to place, I gained experience in hospitality, information technology, and online marketing. I also managed some of our own websites, which eventually led me to create a personal travel blog that truly reflects my interests.

My husband, Matyi, who works as a web developer, helped me build the technical side of my websites.

I spent most of my life in Hungary, near the Austrian border, and also lived in Austria for a while. This made the surrounding countries especially familiar to me. I still travel often to Austria, Slovenia, and Northern Italy, both for creating content and for personal enjoyment.

After many years of traveling across Europe and beyond, I wanted to bring everything I had learned into one place that offers reliable information, practical guidance, and real travel tips.

My main passions are photography and hiking. I especially love spending summers in the Alps, mainly in the Dolomites and the Swiss Alps.

I speak English, German, and Spanish in addition to my native Hungarian, and I’m currently learning Italian.

I now live in Budapest with my husband, and in the future we hope to create a two-city lifestyle.

Traveling with celiac disease and type 1 diabetes

I’ve followed a strict gluten-free diet for nearly 20 years due to celiac disease, so gluten-free dining options are always a priority during my travels. So in my posts, I also highlight restaurants that offer safe and genuinely good gluten-free meals.

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, which makes traveling more complex. Still, these challenges taught me resilience, self-discipline, and the importance of respecting my limits. They also made me a more mindful and prepared traveler.

And I kept blogging…

Two places have had a major impact on me: Italy and the United Arab Emirates.

Italy has been close to my heart since childhood, and I’ve visited almost every region.

The UAE, especially Dubai, became another favorite for its modern energy and warm atmosphere.

In 2024, I decided to create a new blog dedicated to one of my favorite destinations, and I chose Italy. This is how my Italian niche travel blog, ItalianWanderlust.com, began.
